Our Company

SECO Security is a sub-division of SECO Groupe, Inc. (www.secogroupe.com) a nationwide service company. We are committed to providing professional Security Officers to our clients and a comfortable, friendly and promissory working environment for our employees.

From the recruitment to the hiring process experience, we understand that by providing the right employees for the job, our clients will also experience a smooth transition and can rely on us to be their partner in the business. Based in Miami, we are licensed to provide services in the entire State of Florida. Our management team sits behind the scenes to ensure you that you receive great customer service and knowledge of security rules by providing effective training to all our employees. Our MB licensed Security Branch Manager has 26 years in the security industry, including condo, high rise, residential, HOA, Homeland Security (including ports and airports), retail and commercial security.

Our field supervision team consists of security professionals dedicated to compliance and enforcement of all directives and instructions. This approach facilitates all the tools the guards need to be successful and allows our company to run smooth operations based on effective communication between headquarters, the officers in the field and the client.

Training

SECO Security employs licensed Security Officers and understands that training is not a once-in-a lifetime professional event.  All new hires attend a seven (7) hours Orientation & Training class within thirty (30) days of being with the company at our training facility.

An overview of the company’s history, mission, vision and corporate core values. It explains all the policies and procedures in place, company expectations, our market segments, training opportunities in general, employee benefits and how to establish an efficient and effective communication channel between the employee and the company.

An overview of the importance of customer service, how to deliver quality service, how to defuse heated situations, the results of good customer service, professional qualities in customer service, simple actions to follow, telephone etiquette, preparing for the first impression, how clients measure customer service and factors that create a negative impression.

Understanding the role of the security officer in safety, identify/fix/report safety hazards, prevent and report a fire and other emergency situations, apply ergonomics to job tasks, use protective equipment, understanding of basic electrical hazards, workplace violence, basic first aid response and safe driving.

Importance of well written reports, good and bad characteristics of an incident report and elements of a complete report .

An overview of the definition an understanding of terrorism, the making of a terrorist, types/methods and targets of terrorism, weapons of mass destruction, identifying vulnerabilities for an attack, identifying terrorist activities prior to an attack, recognizing/reporting/reacting to terrorist activities and dealing with suspicious packages. Class includes a Case Study, quiz and written exam.

Seco Security Training School

Is a Florida Licensed training facility to instruct and license new Security Officers in compliance with Chapter 493. We pride ourselves on counting with a comfortable facility suited to study and learn all the requirements needed to be Licensed. 

Our professional team of licensed instructors interacts with our students to create a more efficient way of learning by answering all questions and sharing real life events in the industry. 

The Florida Basic Security License Course consists of forty (40) hours of basic classroom training covering the following:

  • FL Statutes, Chapter 493 and FL Administrative Code 5N-1 (2 hours)
  • Legal Issues and Liability (2.5 hours)
  • Basic Emergency First Aid (2 hours)
  • Emergency Procedures (1.5 hours)
  • Ethics and Professional Conduct (2 hours)
  • Access Control (1 hour)
  • Patrol Techniques (1.5 hours)
  • Observation Techniques and Report Writing (3 hours)
  • Interviewing Techniques (1 hour)
  • Fire Detection, Suppression and Life Safety (1.5 hours)
  • Crime and Accident Prevention Techniques and Practices (2 hours)
  • Crime and Accident Scene Protection (1 hour).
  • Terrorism Awareness-I (2 hours).
  • Examination (1 hour)
